It's that time of year again, Christmas. A true time for family and friends. Here in the Dot, the weather is mighty sketchy.

Yeah that's a whole lotta rain we're getting, and if the temperature drops, as it says it will, that'll mean a whole lotta ice is gonna be on the roads and sidewalks!? If you're going to be driving to get to your functions tonight, be careful.

To all our people travelling near and far to be with family, especially those that are waiting for flights, be safe.

Above all else, IRIS wants to wish everyone a Merry Xmas. ENDULGE.

IRIS 30 CM RECAP

So on Saturday, December 20th, IRIS celebrated the "30 CM" event at LIVESTOCK. It probably should have been called, "You lucky bastards," as it seemed like the heavens heard our prayers and blessed the city with more than enough snow to question the attendance. 30 plus cm's in 72 hours?

A big shout out to those that made it out, as the night was really intended to get our close peeps under one roof, for some fun before the holidays...check! This event was a real testimony that despite all odds, anything is possible, with the help of some real good people and sheer luck...lol.

I apologize now for the contant name dropping and accolades, lol...just showin respect.

The event started a bit later than expected (hip hop son..., c'mon!) but soon everything was in full swing.

So on Friday, I got a text msg from a NY number, "doesn't look good," and I'm already accepting defeat. It's 2pm and the first snow storm is in full blast. 10pm I get another text, "just landed in the dot!"

So remember how I was saying that luck was a huge part? Trust me...from almost missing printing deadlines due to weather, to crazy errands and commuting due to weather, to almost missing one of your homeys/acts due to weather, well you get the point. Lesson? Be careful what you ask for!

IRIS & LIVESTOCK

Nothing spells victory over weeks of hard work, hunger, long days, and stress like a meal at ROL SAN in Toronto.

Most of us didn't eat anything all day and got smashed on booze throughout the course of the night. Can't blame us, we were all starving.

1 plate of greens
1 plate of fried rice



If anything, the food made us more tired and caused even more craziness trying to get home in the snow storm.

Overall the night was a success. We want to shoutout those that made it possible and put in their work: IRIS fam (Row & Pete; next time?!), SKAM & everyone at LIVESTOCK, GOODFOOT, STUSSY, Q, MOMO, MJ for the digital equipment, Henri, Taktiks and Marco Polo for the audio, seven:30 for the technical expertise, Toby Shinobi for coming thru in the clutch and understanding my retarded orders...lol, Hek for the Amsterdam and addtl help, Avi Gold and the rest of INQMND, Adrift, STIN for the photos, our homey Karl over in Scandinavia, everyone that copped, and showed interest in our sh!t.
